I acknowledge this women's circle is held on the lands of the Woi Wurrung (Wurundjeri) and Boonwurrung peoples of the eastern Kulin Nation. I acknowledge the lineage of women and traditional custodians who have gathered in ceremony on these lands for a millennia to share in women's ways.
I pay my respect to all First Peoples language groups and communities across Victoria and Australia. I acknowledge the Elders, past and emerging and acknowledge that Sovereignty has never been ceded; this always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
We have much to learn from their enduring connection to land, culture and history.
Monthly. Themed. Intersectional.
This circle is for all women
For anyone who identifies as such in a significant way
For trans women
For all sexual orientations
Slowness with my Sisters is about making the space for nourishment, self-reflection and being witnessed as our true selves in a relaxed, grounded, supportive, intersectional environment that honours lunar rhythm's, helping you track cycles and changes through life.
This is a opportunity to slow down, open your heart while being guided in simple
and grounded feminine practices.
We are held in nature. We listen deeply to each other.
We share our stories and wisdom. We journal and reflect. We move our bodies. We feast and dance.
We make new connections to grow stronger, more loving, more clear and more trusting.
The foundation this circle is built upon is a provocation by Yoga practitioner Elena Brower:
What if we truly saw every woman as our sister?
EVERY. WOMAN. YOUR. SISTER.
What does that feel like for you in your body? In your heart? In your rational mind? The exploration of this principle is woven into each circle as we discover what the wisdom of our unique monthly circle has to reveal to us.
"There are women everywhere in this moment, loving their children as you are, frustrated as you are, praying for peace, for healing and new horizons - as you are."
